Insight Global is seeking a procurement specialist for a local client! The Procurement and MBE/WBE Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement and purchasing processes, overseeing the Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) program, and supporting various project-related tasks. This role involves coordinating the acquisition of architectural, engineering, construction, and related services, as well as preparing and analyzing complex specifications, contracts, and solicitation documents. The Specialist conducts pre-bid and proposal meetings, facilitates selection committee activities, and reviews purchase orders and requisitions to ensure compliance with requirements and delivery standards. They serve as a liaison to consultants, contractors, and suppliers, providing guidance on procurement policies and training project managers. The position also includes working with the accounting department on vendor management and maintaining procurement databases. Additionally, the Specialist tracks MBE/WBE participation in Authority projects, represents the Authority at related meetings, and supports efforts to promote employment opportunities for minorities and women. They assist bidders and propo in maximizing MBE/WBE involvement in contracts and contribute to board meeting preparations for SEA, the Stadium Authority, and the Sports Commission. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves: • Bachelor's degree • 3- 5 years of experience in a procurement related role • Ability to create relationships with MBE/WBE firms and mentor MBE/WBE firms on process of certification
