Job Summary
As a vital member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and help maintain a positive patient experience. You will facilitate patient flow, communicate effectively with patients and staff, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders promptly and accurately. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained. Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate records and manage referral processes efficiently. Stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and uphold infection control standards. Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Engage in ongoing learning and contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Provide appointment reminders to patients during designated hours. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment. Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and fostering effective teamwork.
Work Environment
This position offers an 8-hour shift schedule within a 40-hour workweek. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, providing a balance of small-town charm and access to urban amenities.
