Software Engineer, Data Migration and Integration

Design and build infrastructure to migrate, run, manage and monitor all databases while owning the reliability and scalability of the service as Cloud SQL continues its rapid growth. Build features to migrate MySQL and Postgres customer data from on-premise and other Cloud vendors to Cloud SQL and surface this ease of migration through Database Migration Service. Enhance mechanisms to reduce migration latency and downtime as well as increase data migration fidelity. Build features to allow customers to plan their migrations and verify migrated data. Enable seamless data transfer into and out of Cloud SQL, including features such as import/export and data streaming, both to other GCP products like BigQuery and Data Catalog as well as to external endpoints. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. Experience in the following areas: Cloud, Relational Databases, Scripting, Cloud Operations, Metrics Analysis or Customer Support. Experience programming in one of the following languages: Java, Go. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Database Migrations, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL.
