Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThe Production Planner IV will support the attainment of the sites forecast accuracy targets by continually improving our demand planning processes. The role of the Production Planner IV will deliver value through innovative network planning and optimization, while consistently delivering a 12-month rolling demand plan in accordance with monthly demand reviews.
The Production Planner IV will be required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders outside of planning (Sales, Product Line, Manufacturing Operations, Customer Operations, Finance, etc.).
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and with ambiguity, able to start new projects with ease, have a heightened sense of responsibility and ownership, as well as a desire and passion to go far beyond the boundaries of the job.
Key Responsibilities
Use statistical techniques to analyze and improve forecast accuracy, select forecast model types, and incorporate customer-level forecast information, where appropriate.
Use historical data and promotion grid information to predict the expected lift from future promotions.
Develop models to predict demand for new product introductions.
Help design, document, and implement an effective forecasting process, including metrics, procedures, timing, and responsibilities.
Use associated production-control related tools, processes, and systems to populate a production schedule and establish customer order commitment dates.
Monitor products and materials in an efficient and effective manner, to meet schedule commitments.
Review order due date schedules to determine priorities to regulate and direct material flow, by generating production starts, making lot-size adjustments considering yields, addressing material shortages, changing work orders, etc., to meet delivery requirements of the Business Key Performance Indicators (OTD, revenue.)
Production capacity analysis, understand the bottleneck, compare to capacity of each production cell, give out capacity shortage alarm in advance
Monitor production actuals vs the production schedule, escalate deviations potentially impacting to customer service. Analyze gaps vs schedule, perform root-cause analysis and create action plan to increase adherence.
Communicate material-flow in-process schedules and completion status updates to production department and business partners.
Coordinate and submit material requirements/requisitions with material planner and purchasing.
Confirm material supply/demand (shortages) before order commitment
Inventory management through the control on production flow
Use good judgement, initiative and independent actions necessary to incur production accuracy and to prevent and eliminate shortage conditions.
Interface with all levels of production management in resolving problems concerning shipments, shortages, engineering changes and traceability.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Business Management or Supply Chain.
Three (3) years of relevant Planning experience is required. Experience in medical devices industry is .
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with internal team members and customers.
Strong leadership skills are required.
Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company products and logistics is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required.
ERP systems experience (such as Oracle).

The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $75,000 to $80,000 per year.
