HR Generalist Compliance & Employee Relations

About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance and Employee Relations Specialist to join our clients growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the organization maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering positive employee relationships and resolving workplace issues effectively. Key Responsibilities Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies across all HR functions Investigate employee relations issues, conduct interviews, and provide recommendations for resolution Partner with management to address performance issues, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to maintain legal compliance Conduct employee relations training sessions and educational workshops Maintain accurate documentation of employee relations cases and compliance activities Assist with unemployment claims, wage and hour audits, and regulatory agency inquiries Support leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation coordination Collaborate with legal counsel on complex employee relations matters when necessary

Generate reports and analyze trends related to employee relations and compliance metrics. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of experience in HR compliance and employee relations Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, etc.) Experience with Paylocity HRIS platform strongly preferred Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) Experience in a multi-state organization Background in conducting workplace investigations Knowledge of workers' compensation and disability management
