Key Responsibilities
Main Purpose of Job: The primary purpose of this role is to leverage expertise in healthcare law to address complex issues, aligning work with Immunocore's strategy. The individual will interpret business challenges, recommend best practices, and identify solutions to improve products and processes. They will make timely decisions, effectively dealing with ambiguity and limited information. As Associate Director, you will provide strategic legal advice to the US Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and support functions on various projects within a highly regulated environment. Prior experience advising prescription drug companies on legal issues related to patient support, advertising, promotion, scientific exchange, interactions with healthcare professionals, anti-bribery, and related topics is preferred. The incumbent will maintain awareness of the market, competitive landscape, and opportunities, understanding the impact of decisions on results. They will interact proactively with stakeholders, influencing and negotiating on difficult concepts. Key Responsibilities
Advise business partners on initiatives that align with company strategy while addressing legal risks and protecting reputation. Provide legal counsel on advertising, promotion strategies, social media use, scientific information dissemination, product development, labeling, liability, healthcare fraud, and abuse. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements. Collaborate with Compliance to ensure operations align with policies and regulations. Serve on cross-functional teams, including promotional review committees. Act as a healthcare law subject matter expert, monitoring legal developments and communicating updates. Handle miscellaneous legal tasks as needed. Qualifications
Essential: JD from an ABA-accredited law school Member of state bar 5-8 years of relevant experience in life sciences legal advising Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Expertise in statutes and regulations such as the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, ABAC laws, OIG guidance, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and PhRMA Code Preferred: Self-starter with strong work ethic and interpersonal skills Ability to operate in ambiguous areas Additional Details
