Position Summary
As a Residential Energy Advisor II, you will play a key role in providing our services directly to homeowners, landlords, and utility customers. Your expertise will guide clients on modifying electric and gas systems to enhance efficiency, while you actively promote the benefits our programs can bring. This position requires a blend of fieldwork and office time, enabling you to offer energy advice, facilitate trade partnerships, and identify efficiency opportunities through various incentive measures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Direct installation of energy-saving products as directed by program management.
Adhering to safety requirements set by the organization and utility clients.
Promoting energy efficiency programs to customers, trade allies, and stakeholders.
Engaging with existing customers to meet energy-saving targets through outbound calls.
Initiating new business opportunities through business-to-business outreach.
Effectively managing field time for customer, Trade Ally, and stakeholder visits.
Delivering presentations to raise awareness of energy efficiency programs.
Responding to inquiries from customers to facilitate project completion.
Collaborating with utility customers to enhance their energy efficiency.
Documenting on-site opportunities and providing summary reports to clients and program managers.
Discussing technical aspects of energy-consuming systems, including lighting and HVAC.
Entering data into spreadsheets and databases to analyze energy savings and manage projects.
Maintaining professionalism and a positive demeanor as a representative of our organization.
Easily building rapport with customers in-person and virtually regarding their energy usage.
Collaborating within a team environment to improve operations continuously.
Providing training and support to new team members as needed.
Assisting customers through the rebate application process.
Installing energy-efficient products in residential units and common areas.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a technical school degree with relevant experience in the utility field is also acceptable.
3-5 years of experience in the electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC design, or related fields.
Prior experience managing teams focused on proactive customer outreach.
2-3 years of experience in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
Background in customer service, sales, or marketing is preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a capability to prioritize tasks.
Flexible and able to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong data entry skills for effective information management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Able to analyze and interpret data, troubleshooting practical issues effectively.
Understanding of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Valid driver's license.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
