Position Summary As an Energy Efficiency Advisor, you will directly engage with homeowners, landlords, building owners, and utility customers to provide expert advice and coordination for our energy programs. This dynamic role combines fieldwork with office responsibilities, where you will recommend energy-saving modifications to electric and gas systems and showcase the efficiency improvements our services can bring. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install energy-saving products as guided by program management. Ensure adherence to safety protocols set by the organization and utility clients. Promote energy efficiency programs to customers, trade allies, and stakeholders in your territory. Execute the company’s Sales Process effectively, including: Making outbound calls to customers to meet energy saving targets. Initiating new business through B2B efforts. Managing field visits to customers and trade allies. Creating and delivering presentations to raise program awareness. Responding to inquiries efficiently to facilitate project completion. Collaborate with utility customers to enhance energy efficiency. Identify on-site opportunities and provide documentation and follow-ups as needed. Discuss technical elements regarding energy-consuming equipment, such as lighting, HVAC, and insulation. Enter data into tracking systems for project management and energy savings analysis. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct befitting a representative of our organization. Build rapport with customers and engage them in discussions about energy usage. Work collaboratively in a team setting to drive continuous operational improvement. Assist in training new team members as needed. Lead presentations for targeted groups to promote energy efficiency programs. Guide customers through the rebate application process. Perform additional duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the electric or gas utility industry, HVAC, conservation, or related fields is desired. 1-2 years of relevant experience in energy management, sales, or customer service is preferred. Experience in energy efficiency and energy modeling is a plus. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Self-motivated and organized with strong prioritization skills. Flexible and capable of working at a fast pace. Adaptable to changing program environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong data entry and analytical skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
