Flexible Patient Access Representative
greets and welcomes patients, facilitates their registration process, and ensures they have a smooth experience at our facility. You will gather necessary demographic and financial information and enter data into electronic medical records. Location:
1324 5th St N, New Ulm, MN 56073 Key Responsibilities: Welcome and greet patients upon arrival. Gather demographic and insurance details. Conduct check-ins, assisting patients with necessary paperwork. Guide patients to their appointments or procedures. Help schedule additional appointments when necessary. Document any issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record. Address claim issues or registration errors on patient accounts. Utilize available resources to complete the registration process. Verify patients' insurance eligibility and benefits, focusing on complex billing situations. Provide cost information and explain financial assistance options. Collect co-payments or deductibles, responding to financial assistance inquiries. Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs. Assist patients in completing financial assistance applications. Mentor and provide direction to fellow team members as needed. Respond to inbound and outbound calls, providing outstanding customer service. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of customer service experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. Availability to work standard daytime hours, Monday - Friday, for initial training. Ability to cover shifts as needed, typically 1-3 shifts per month. Willingness to work overnight shifts every third weekend (Friday and Saturday 11:00pm to 7:00am). Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Revenue Cycle. General office experience. Familiarity with Epic software. Physical Demands: Frequent walking, standing, bending, and turning required. Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 2-5 lbs. Please note: The sign-on bonus is available only to external applicants. Compensation is based on various factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. In addition to hourly wages ranging from $16.00 to $27.69 for full-time roles, we offer comprehensive benefits, including equity stock purchasing and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
