The selected candidate for this role will be required to work at various stores within a 15-mile radius of Store #1757, located at: 4499 Ivanrest Avenue SW, Grandville MI, 49418.
This position is crucial to the success of our retail operations. As a Retail Store Associate, you will engage closely with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, provide answers to their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the most suitable solutions. You will play a vital role in resolving customer concerns promptly, ensuring maximum satisfaction, and maintaining the high-quality visual standards of the products and store. Achieving excellence in customer service while consistently meeting sales targets will be your key responsibility.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Delivering outstanding customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Assisting customers in-store and over the phone to determine their needs and present appropriate products and services.
Building productive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
Accurately processing sales transactions according to company policies and procedures.
Aiming to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Maintaining precise work order files and product formulas.
Pulling necessary products from the sales floor or warehouse as required.
Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications.
Stocking shelves and setting up attractive product displays.
Cleaning store equipment and maintaining high standards of store appearance.
Loading/unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries as needed.
Keeping assigned areas in stock and presentable.
Remaining knowledgeable about products offered and discussing available options with customers.
Complying with inventory control procedures and suggesting improvements to sales strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship for employment work visa status.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
Must be able to lift and carry materials frequently, up to 50 lbs and up to 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
Experience selling paint and related products.
Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language; Spanish is a plus.
