About Us
The M.O.M. Project (Mending Our Mistakes, Inc.) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting noncustodial mothers and parents as they rebuild their lives and relationships with their children. We provide trauma-informed programs, supervised visitation opportunities, peer mentorship, and advocacy for systemic reform in Arkansas and beyond.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate volunteer to help us raise critical funds that fuel our programs. This role is perfect for someone who wants to build experience in nonprofit development while making a meaningful impact on families navigating custody loss.
Responsibilities
1. Research and identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
2. Assist in writing grant proposals, fundraising letters, and donor outreach.
3. Help design and run fundraising campaigns (online or community-based).
4. Track donor information and ensure thank-you notes and updates are sent.
5. Brainstorm creative ways to engage community partners, businesses, and churches in supporting our work.
Qualifications
1. Strong written and communication skills.
2. Interest or background in fundraising, development, communications, or nonprofit work.
3. Organized and self-motivated.
4. Compassion for families facing difficult custody challenges.
