Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday to Friday (flexible scheduling) Experience: 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates with Level II experience are welcome License: Occupational Therapy license required Certifications: NBCOT, AOTA compliance Must-Have: Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation Description: Effectively screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and/or activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders. Develops appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modifies services based on patient evaluations. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, family members, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Maintains patient records according to company policy. Records treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Engages in required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Obtains necessary durable medical equipment or supplies as required by regulatory and clinical practices. Supervises and supports occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students. Adheres to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
