Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathology Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required; New grads accepted with Level II experience License: Missouri State License required Certifications: CCC certification required; 3 years of experience holding active CCS preferred Must-Have: - Ability to screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. - Capability to develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. - Proficient in utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. - Skills in assessing patient progress and adjusting treatments accordingly in clinical records. - Experience in evaluating treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modifying services based on evaluations. - Ability to provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding speech disorders. - Excellent communication skills with supervisors and health team members about patient progress and treatment plans. - Capability to provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services per regulatory and clinical requirements. - Strong documentation skills in electronic documentation systems and maintenance of patient records. - Ability to accurately record treatment minutes in compliance with regulations. - Participation in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. - Commitment to training, in-services, and conferences as required. - Competence in obtaining necessary Durable Medical Equipment or supplies as per regulatory guidelines. - Ability to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists. - Adherence to professional practice standards and ethical guidelines.
