Handles all matters in a confidential manner per HIPAA policies and regulations. Administers oral contrast as needed per exam. Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assists radiologists during procedures. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems. Reports equipment malfunctions to the manager or lead. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to assist others and perform clerical duties. Understands their role in maintaining medication security for authorized personnel only. Demonstrates competency in providing healthcare services to all age groups. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships across all age groups. Demonstrates competency in the use of hospital information systems, radiology information systems, and PACS. Participates in performance improvement activities when warranted. Demonstrates confidentiality using their own password and all patient care modules. Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel in other areas. Keeps the work area stocked with office and medical supplies efficiently and reorders through appropriate personnel when necessary. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed even if not directly assigned.
