Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 5x8 (21:30 - 06:00) Experience: Minimum 18 months required License: Must have a valid state license prior to start date. Certifications: BLS, ARRT CT required Must-Have: Inpatient experience Emergency room experience Community hospital experience Adult ICU experience PACS experience Contrast administration experience Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction. Description: This position is for a CT Technologist specializing in radiology/cardiology. The technologist will handle a wide variety of cases, including those from a trauma center emergency department. Travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates must have experience with inpatient settings and in administering contrast media. Experience in adult critical care settings is preferred. The position may involve performing a range of CT scans, including those without and with contrast. Daily caseload is typically around 160 scans. Candidates should be familiar with various patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics. A professional demeanor and effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and medical staff. Candidate experiences such as having worked in trauma settings or with pediatric patients will be an advantage. All travelers are required to adhere to the facility's policies and guidelines. Floating between departments or facilities is a necessary part of this role. A strong understanding of safety protocols and radiation safety is required.
