MetalTek is seeking a forward-thinking and people-centered Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our plant. This role is essential to driving strategic business outcomes, fostering a strong workplace culture, and ensuring compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, a trusted partner to management, and a champion for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Business partnership

  • Anticipate business needs, lead strategy, and use analytics for decision-making.
  • Advocate for employees, model core values, and promote diversity.
  • Drive and sustain change through leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate across teams, align talent with strategy, and deliver unified HR solutions.
Employee Relations and Engagement
  • Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex employee complaints in collaboration with plant leadership.
  • Analyze employee turnover metrics and implement strategies to enhance retention.
  • Oversee Worker's Compensation cases in partnership with plant leadership
Talent Acquisition and Talent Development
  • Partner with leadership on succession planning and development of high-potential talent.
  • Recruit for open positions directly or leverage recruiting firms to fill open positions
  • Oversee effective onboarding
  • Support the performance management process, providing coaching and tools to drive accountability and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to deliver relevant training programs to employees at the plant leadership.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the HR Generalist.
  • Ensure the HR Generalist is equipped to support plant HR operations and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 7-10 years HR experience w/ 5+yrs in manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience mentoring HR professionals.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
