We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to be the face of our clinic and the first step in our patient-first approach. You will be our revenue protection specialist and patient financial counselor, resolving insurance and billing challenges while maintaining high patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Master Insurance Verification, Excel at Financial Counseling, Solve Billing Problems, Drive Patient Satisfaction, Be the Face of AFC, Own the Front Desk Flow, and Protect Patient Information.
- Master Insurance Verification: Verify coverage before services are provided, prevent claim denials, and maximize revenue capture.
- Excel at Financial Counseling: Explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in a way they understand.
- Solve Billing Problems: Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue.
- Drive Patient Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations.
- Be the Face of AFC: Greet patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Own the Front Desk Flow: Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins with efficiency.
- Protect Patient Information: Maintain organized records while following HIPAA regulations.
This Role Is Perfect For You If: You have experience with insurance verification and medical billing, can explain complex insurance concepts with empathy and clarity, and are obsessively detail-oriented.

- You have worked as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in a Customer Service role in a medical office setting.
- You are tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and can find billing solutions that work for both patients and the clinic.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.
