Responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy.
- Adhere to company's cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer product questions.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
