Overview

We are hiring immediately for a COOK (PART TIME) position at Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company.

Location: Atrium Health Navicent Peach - 1960 Georgia Highway 247 Connector, Byron, GA 31008. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time; Days may vary, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Pay: $16.00 per hour.

Requirements: Two years of prior culinary experience in a hospital setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, ensuring proper temperature, and presenting food attractively and tasting all prepared items.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment; follows HACCP standards and proper portion control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with company policies and procedures including appropriate use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant footwear.

• Two years of prior culinary experience in a hospital setting is required.
