Overview

COOK (PART TIME) role at Compass One Healthcare at Novant Thomasville Medical Center. Location: 207 Old Lexington Road, Thomasville, NC 27360. Schedule: Part time; Days may vary, typically 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm, two to three days per week. Online applications accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of the kitchen; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as needed; reports maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Performs duties safely and supports a clean, safe work environment; performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to HACCP standards and ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Complies with company policies and procedures, including safety and protective equipment guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior food service or cook experience is preferred.

Compensation

• Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.
