Orthopedic RN Job Details:

• Location: Aurora, CO 80012 (Denver Metro Area)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical/Orthopedic Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7PM – 7AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 345 beds
• EMR System: Meditech
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in orthopedic, medical-surgical, or telemetry nursing
• Strong telemetry nursing experience preferred (2+ years highly desired)
• Flexibility to float to other inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units as needed
• Excellent teamwork, clinical, and communication skills

Orthopedic RN Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients during night shifts
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and perform treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in the Meditech EMR system
• Float to various hospital units as needed, adapting to diverse patient populations and care needs
• Offer compassionate support to patients and their families
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit guidelines
