Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Vermont nursing jobs)
• Facility: 98-bed Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Rehab Center
• Setting: Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 32 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 5/24/2026)
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work all holidays
• Floating: Required to Long-Term Care and Memory Care units as needed
• EMR: EPIC documentation system
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880-$2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Long Term Care (LTC) or skilled nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Dementia Capable Care certification preferred
• Must not be allergic to cats (cat present on unit)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation)
• Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-acute and long-term care residents (primarily age 60+)
• Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transports, nebulizer to inhaler conversions, and IV starts
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team and ancillary staff
• Float to other long term care or memory care units as needed
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and nursing standards
• Provide compassionate support to residents with dementia and complex healthcare needs
