Travel CNA Job Details

  • Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Vermont healthcare job)
  • Facility Setting: Long Term Care Unit (Otter Creek East & West)
  • Assignment Duration: 6 weeks (09/11/2025 – 10/26/2025)
  • Shift: 8-hour day shifts
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1240 - $1330
  • Employment Type: Travel CNA position
  • Floating: Required to Memory Care and Post-Acute Care (PAC) units as needed
  • Holiday Coverage: Must be able to work all holidays if scheduled
  • Documentation System: EPIC electronic health record

Certified Nursing Assistant Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required for all CNA jobs)
  • Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in healthcare settings
  • At least 1 year of long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
  • Prior travel CNA assignment experience required
  • Recent experience with EPIC documentation system (within the past 2 years)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to float to Memory Care and PAC units as needed
  • Must not be allergic to cats (cat present on unit)
  • Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
  • Willingness to work all holidays if scheduled
  • Completion of facility-specific questionnaire and background checks as required

CNA Responsibilities in Long Term Care

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care to residents in a long-term care setting
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
  • Accurately document care provided using the EPIC electronic health record system
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residents
  • Float to Memory Care and Post-Acute Care (PAC) units as required
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal resident care
  • Participate in unit meetings and ongoing clinical training as required
