Job Details – Vermont Travel RN Opportunity
- Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 – Located in Addison County, Vermont, Middlebury is known for its vibrant community, picturesque landscapes, and year-round outdoor recreation.
- Assignment Length: 16-32 weeks (locum tenens contract)
- Start Date: October 13, 2025
- End Date: May 25, 2026
- Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel RN contract
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,940 - $1,990
- Shift: Alternating 4x8s and 5x8s (8-hour shifts, 72 hours biweekly)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Floating: Required to support multiple units
- Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work all scheduled holidays
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state; pending licenses considered case-by-case)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Long Term Care (LTC) nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
- EPIC charting experience within the last 2 years (required)
- Dementia Capable Care certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must not be allergic to cats (cat present on unit)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation access)
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
RN Responsibilities – Long Term Care Nursing
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care (LTC) unit
- Float as needed to support various clinical units within the healthcare facility
- Utilize EPIC for all charting and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia and chronic health conditions
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state, and federal healthcare regulations
- Work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends as required
