Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or Compact State RN Licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (SICU or MICU preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult patients in the ICU
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, assist with exams, and support advanced procedures
• Administer medications, manage emergencies, and utilize advanced ICU technology
• Educate patients and families, advocating for patient rights and well-being
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold the highest standards of nursing excellence
• Take on leadership roles, such as charge nurse or preceptor, and participate in unit quality initiatives
