Summary of Position:
Performing close of day scenarios for the Front Office while managing overnight front desk services.
Responsibilities:
- Follow procedures to audit shift closing for all front office staff, including closing shift three and completing audit summaries.
- Produce accurate reports and handle cash transactions properly.
- Maintain and post daily balances of house accounts, including reconciliations, transactions, and reports to accounting and profit centers.
- Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier’s reports, guest and house accounts, and telephone revenue; assist in preparing relevant reports.
- Balance, audit, and transmit credit card batches.
- Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports with supporting documents.
- Act as Manager on Duty during overnight hours.
- Perform Front Desk functions such as reservations, guest check-in/out, answering phones, and messaging.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following safety and security protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- This is an overnight position; ability to work independently.
- Present a positive, professional image.
- Ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Room Master system.
Knowledge and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years front desk/room registration experience required.
- Two years Night Auditor/Relief Night Auditor preferred.
