Production Supervisor – Direct Hire
Location: Bridgeton, Missouri
Salary: $85,000–$95,000 (commensurate with experience)
Kelly Services is seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Kanban systems, and Six Sigma methodologies to join our team at our headquarters in Bridgeton. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and leading a high-performing production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach team members to maintain a highly productive and efficient workflow aligned with Lean principles.
- Implement and manage Kanban systems to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and ensure on-time delivery of production goals.
- Apply Six Sigma tools and root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee daily production operations and enforce adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Communicate job expectations clearly, monitor team performance, and provide ongoing feedback and development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflow and eliminate production bottlenecks.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, offering insights and recommendations for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all SOPs, safety policies, and quality assurance standards.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop production staff in alignment with company culture and performance expectations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma (Green Belt).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with digital production tools or ERP systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
