Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Our client is seeking a Colorist to join their team! This role is on an ongoing temporary basis, with the potential to convert to permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Production Graphics Manager and Production Artist.
  • Facilitate pitch sheets with artists and ensure artwork aligns with design intent.
  • Provide feedback on graphic strike-offs and bulk trims from development to final production.
  • Review strike-off submissions for execution, color accuracy, hand feel, and print quality.
  • Communicate color comments to factories.
  • Create Graphic Lab Dip (GLD) & Charts.
  • Access Fabric Team Charts for necessary information.
  • Create wash test and submit forms for strike-off approvals.
  • Guide overseas factories on strike-off aesthetics.
  • Test graphics to ensure quality for bulk production.
  • Use the light box for proper color evaluation.
  • Manage artwork updates for cross-functional teams, including Style Guides, Line Sheets, and PLM.
  • Assist with sending domestic and international packages.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in color, product development, or production.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including liaising with overseas factories and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of color theory, color matching, screen printing, and printing techniques.
  • Understanding of sourcing, development, and production processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Illustrator; PLM experience is a plus.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
