Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
• Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state RN license (required for New Mexico healthcare jobs)
• BLS Certification (AHA required)
• CPI or equivalent crisis prevention certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent psychiatric nursing experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage crisis situations and excel in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care for diverse psychiatric and behavioral health populations
• Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care in accordance with clinical standards
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Respond promptly to psychiatric emergencies and adapt to changing clinical needs
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Support patients through detox, mental health crises, and other specialized psychiatric needs
