Travel Telemetry RN

Location: Facility in Leonardtown, Maryland
Job Details: Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Leonardtown, Maryland. The role emphasizes patient care in a telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques with emphasis on cardiac care
• Aids physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety in telemetry care
• Observes and documents patient status; notifies supervisor or physician as needed
• Responds to life-saving situations following cardiac-related policies and protocols
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive cardiac care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice; adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
