Empire Automotive Group Nissan of Bay Ridge – Used Car Manager is seeking an experienced leader to elevate our pre-owned operations. This position offers a competitive pay and commission plan, with backing from one of the fastest-growing privately-owned automotive groups in the U.S. Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr. The job description and responsibilities are as follows; actual pay will be based on skills and experience. This role is located in New York, NY. Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain inventory of pre-owned vehicles across the dealership. Conduct daily reviews of outbound email communications and inbound sales leads via DealerSocket. Establish and execute appraisal standards for incoming vehicle acquisitions. Monitor market conditions and explore innovative sourcing strategies. Participate in weekly trade-in discussions with dealership management. Assist the sales team in closing deals and building lasting customer relationships. Draw on experience (minimum 3 years) in managing automotive sales with a proven record of hitting targets and profitability. Utilize industry software, CRM platforms, and inventory tools (e.g., V-Auto) to support operations. Set daily goals for unit sales and gross profit margins to guide performance. Lead sales meetings, provide coaching, and deliver training to the sales force. Conduct daily lot walks to ensure front-line readiness: verify year stickers, plate frames, vehicle alignment, and manage wholesale units. Approve sales contracts and support final deal closures. Collaborate with sales staff on advertising and promotional strategies. Prepare accurate sales forecasts for daily operational oversight. Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in used vehicle sales with knowledge across vehicle types. At least 3 years of dealership-level inventory management experience. Supervisory experience is a plus. Dependable, professional, with polished appearance and confident business presence. Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service through expertise, trust-building, and satisfaction-driven interactions. Personable, energetic, reliable, with a positive, team-focused attitude. Receptive to feedback and committed to ongoing growth and performance improvement. Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays. Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Maintains a clean, organized, and professional workspace with keen attention to detail.
