Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Sales Consultant

Are you passionate about sales and helping others? Are you ready to take that extra step as a leader? Smithtown Volvo has an opportunity for an experienced salesperson with a strong track record of success to lead. We have a great opportunity with an aggressive pay plan and a structured bonus/commission to meet our large, ready-to-roll inventory! This position will allow you to develop your leadership skills while helping consumers sort out their automotive needs, creating both personal and financial goals.

Some Empire sales consultants make over 100k in their first year!

Daily Work Schedule The candidate will have at least three years of successful sales experience and the will to learn their customer needs using all the available tools given for success. Candidates must have great people skills, enthusiasm, energy, a positive attitude, and drive. Candidates should also have strong telephone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority; know the ins and outs of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technologies for new and used cars.

Develop relationships with customers to build a client base for life.

Exhibit consultative selling skills and assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.

Handle customer concerns, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits using dealership’s CRM, phone, text and email.

Perform high-quality, professional demonstrations of new/used vehicles.

Follow up with buyers to ensure successful referral business.

Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations.

Become a team leader by helping the sales team achieve their goals set by management.

Report directly to the Senior Management team regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

Bring leadership and a positive attitude to work every single day.

Qualities We’re Looking For

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Reliable and presentable in business attire representing Empire Volvo professionally.

Excellent attendance record and commitment to punctuality.

Understanding of the importance of listening and being empathetic while leading.

Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Experience providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction.

At least three years of prior employment in the automotive industry.

Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive “team-player” attitude.

Open to constructive feedback to improve performance and development.

Flexible work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.

Strong computer and multitasking skills, including Microsoft Office.

Maintain a clean, organized, presentable workplace with strong attention to detail.

Stable employment history, growing in each position held.

Valid and clean NY state driver’s license and pass a drug and background check.
