We’re seeking a skilled and experienced
GIS Analyst
to join our dynamic team. This role supports critical DHS initiatives as part of the Federal GIS team. If you’re passionate about geospatial technology and want to make an impact through meaningful federal projects, we’d love to hear from you! Work Environment:
Remote (potential travel up to 15-20%). Responsibilities
Produce cartographic and data products involving a high degree of complexity. Perform data collection, conversion, migration, and information extraction using advanced processing techniques. Assist with project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, application coding and testing, quality assurance and quality control. Perform data management for large-scale, disparate spatial data sources; respond to and track complex data requests; maintain current data dictionaries and populate metadata in accordance with official policy. Conduct GIS and geospatial technologies user training sessions for applications and tools. Provide user support. Develop and capture metadata for geospatial data, applications, and products. Produce high-quality hardcopy and digital maps. Qualifications
Requirements: BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or related field with GIS experience. 6+ years of experience performing GIS and related development. 2+ years of experience for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications. Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance or DHS suitability (Background Investigation). U.S. Citizenship is required. Competencies & Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organization and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and proactive; strong team skills and the ability to work independently.
