Overview Touro University Occupational Therapy (OT) program is seeking to hire an Assistant/Associate Professor (rank is commensurate with experience) for the All-women section of the OT program. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, service, scholarship, and collaboration with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. Responsibilities Teach required credit load Prepare, deliver, and manage courses using a learning management system (Canvas) for in-person and distance education Advise students Serve as a professional role model in areas of equity, fairness, ethics, communication, and professional attitudes Assist AFWC with integrating fieldwork into the curriculum Help establish clinical agreements with fieldwork sites appropriate for the All-women section Support students during fieldwork placements and maintain communication Conduct site visits, mediate between supervisors and students, and establish learning contracts as needed Education/Experience License in Occupational Therapy from New York State Department of Education Doctorate preferred in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline from an accredited institution Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Scholarly work and activity record preferred Minimum of 3 years of occupational therapy experience Experience teaching in higher education Experience with academic fieldwork coordination preferred Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills Certifications/Licenses Occupational Therapy license from NYS Doctorate preferred Travel Primarily work at the Flatbush-Brooklyn campus with some travel to Long Island and NYC campuses Travel to fieldwork sites as needed Salary Range Maximum: USD $50,000/year Minimum: USD $40,000/year Additional Details
