Job Summary The
Senior Solutions Engineer
will be responsible for pre-sales technical support for sales force and selected customers. This includes maintaining close contact with strategic customers, Product Line Management, and Business Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with Sales Solution Engineering team to install, demonstrate, and support ADTRAN equipment for various trials and demonstrations.
Assist customers and lab personnel in troubleshooting issues during product evaluations and collaborate with Engineering for resolution.
Attend internal training to gain knowledge of ADTRAN equipment and technologies.
Provide phone and on-site support for customer trials and other interactions.
Test equipment configurations for proposals or customer applications.
Address application-related questions concerning ADTRAN products.
Undertake other projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Math or Science (Engineering preferred).
5+ years experience with network providers, data centers, or telecom equipment.
Deep knowledge of Ethernet, switches, routers, and networks like SONET/WDM, IP, Fibre Channel.
Core understanding of IP routing and Layer 2/3 Ethernet networks.
Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Some travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Optical and IP/Ethernet networks and access products.
Experience with GPON, XGS-PON, ADSL2, VDSL2, SHDSL, and TL1 command language.
Familiarity with standards like TR-101, TR-169, and G.984.
Knowledge of provisioning and orchestration systems, protocols such as NetConf, REST, and JSON.
Strong communication skills.
