Director of Trade Strategy and Operations , supporting the
Vision Care Franchise OTC
business, you will be trusted with the responsibility of developing and executing trade, pricing, and go-to-market strategies that maximize growth and profitability for the OTC portfolio. This role will bridge strategic sales planning, trade program design, and operational execution to ensure our customers and partners are positioned for mutual success. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen, data-driven decision making, and operational discipline with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. This position is based in our

location. Responsibilities
Trade & Sales Strategy
Design and implement multi-year OTC trade strategies that optimize pricing, margins, and trade investment ROI Partner with Sales Leadership to align trade programs with channel, account, and market share objectives Develop annual and long-range customer investment strategies, leveraging market data, competitive insights, and category dynamics Support product launches with trade terms, distribution strategies, and sales execution plans
Operations & Execution
Lead the end-to-end trade operations process, from program design and contract development to performance tracking and settlement Ensure pricing, trade terms, and promotional programs are accurately set up, executed, and reconciled in partnership with Finance, Revenue Planning, and Customer Service Drive standardization and continuous improvement in trade-related processes, tools, and reporting Oversee accruals, payments, and compliance processes to minimize leakage and ensure audit readiness
Analytics & Performance Management
Develop robust KPI frameworks to measure program effectiveness, account profitability, and trade investment returns Partner with Revenue Growth Management to model scenario impacts and recommend optimal price-pack architecture Provide actionable insights to Sales, Marketing, and Finance leadership to guide decision-making
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor a team (direct or matrix) to deliver on trade and sales strategy priorities Collaborate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Regulatory to ensure strategies are executable and compliant Represent the OTC business in enterprise-level trade and sales strategy forums
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.) Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English 10 Years of Relevant Experience 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership Preferred Skills and Experience
Progressive experience in trade marketing, sales strategy, revenue growth management, or commercial operations within consumer healthcare, OTC, or CPG Strong understanding of OTC channel and customer dynamics (retail, eCommerce, wholesale) Proven track record of designing and implementing trade investment strategies that drive profitable growth Advanced analytical skills with expertise in pricing and retail or B2B sales analytics, data visualization tools, and syndicated data integration (IRI, Nielsen, IQVIA) Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and trade accruals Demonstrated financial acumen and working knowledge of general accounting concepts Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills Track record of people management and team development How you can thrive at Alcon
