Job Summary The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial statements by overseeing daily operations of the Financial Reporting area within the Finance Division. This includes reviewing and reporting on financial statement activity, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Statutory standards, developing accounting policies, overseeing general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring accurate claims reporting and payments. The role also involves overseeing subsidiary accounting, monitoring healthcare reform topics such as medical loss ratio filings, and executing special projects aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. Job-Specific Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required Master’s degree in Accounting preferred Valid CPA certification required Minimum of three years' experience with increasing responsibilities Working knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Mainframe-based General Ledger systems is preferred Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
