The Technical Field Advisor (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants for their Steam Turbine Generator System(s). The TFA reviews plant engineering documents and P&IDs, troubleshoots plant systems and equipment, and plans, organizes, and directs resources to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. The primary responsibility is to safely manage maintenance and repair of equipment used in power generation. Other duties may be assigned to proactively support the Steam Power vision and GE Vernova core values. Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation Lead outage crews including crafts, union technicians, and onsite services teams Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, and time/expense reporting Sign off on all changes implemented Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure work complies with GE Vernova safety standards Have knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintage Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future outages Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site Perform walk-downs during installation to ensure customer contractors are working properly Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level Perform other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications

Associates degree or higher from an accredited university or college with 5+ years of experience in power plant maintenance, turbine maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning, or equivalent experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant experience Ability to travel 80% annually to and from projects and field assignments Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport Ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear power facilities in the USA and Canada Successful completion of required training programs GE, Alstom, or other OEM steam turbine outages hands-on experience is a must Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge to actively support an outage and know where to seek answers Commitment to excellent customer service with external and internal stakeholders Experience with successful installations and outages Extensive Field Engineering Services experience Pipe fitting and tubing experience Fluent in English Strong project management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong business acumen and ability to sell GE Vernova products to customers Willingness to travel to support customers inside and outside the USA Benefits and Additional Information

Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of pre-employment background and drug screening. Training may be required to prepare for the assignment, and ongoing training is expected to meet competency requirements. Salary and benefits: In the United States, the salary range is $72,400.00 to $105,000.00 annually. A geographic differential may apply.
