Foreclosure/Litigation Paralegal

The employee will be responsible for drafting legal pleadings and electronic filing as well as coordinating foreclosure activities and processes with attorneys and other departments within the Firm as necessary. Strong writing skills preferred. Will train the right candidate. Prior foreclosure or paralegal experience a plus.
Responsibilities
Draft legal pleadings as requested; track and manage litigation files
Maintain an assigned portfolio of loans in foreclosure to ensure proper and timely processing
Document the case management system with the progress and current status of the file
Identify files that are not moving forward and communicate what is needed to proceed
Ensure adherence to client, state, and federal requirements
Enter and verify that the correct data is in the case management system
Accurately draft foreclosure documents for attorney review (e.g., debt affidavits, payoffs, reinstatement quotes)
Calendar regular follow-up for outstanding items
Manage daily workload and work in advance of upcoming deadlines
Responsible for special projects and reporting required by clients
Handle incoming calls from borrowers in default
Perform basic mathematical calculations with attention to detail
Place outbound calls to the Clerk of Court, Register of Deeds, Sheriff
Qualifications / Required Skills
Excellent professional communication skills; interacts with interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as clients and outside vendors
Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word
Well organized with effective time management; ability to prioritize and allocate workload
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Strong work ethic; self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
Effective problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Salary $45,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience
