Audit Manager: Compliance (Hybrid) – Capital One Capital One’s Audit function delivers quality assurance to the organization’s Audit Committee in a collaborative, agile environment. The team provides high-value, independent insights and recommendations and aims to be a top destination for talent and professional growth. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Audit Manager to join the Corporate Compliance Audit Team. This role involves conducting operational, financial, and compliance audit projects and contributing to the annual audit plan. This position is hired as a Capital One associate with a near-term focus on audit execution and delivery for Discover Financial Services as part of our integration effort. Responsibilities

Plan, perform, and lead large/complex audits at the enterprise level as well as in diverse lines of business and specialty areas. Design and perform compliance audit procedures, identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document processes. Provide significant input into the development of the annual audit plan. Leverage data and analytical tools during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit delivery. Establish and build working relationships with internal and external management. Communicate audit results to management (written reports and oral presentations). Manage audit work and project resources, providing feedback on work performed to audit team members as appropriate. Ideal teammate qualifications

The associate is expected to travel an average of 10-15% of the time. Qualifications

Basic

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 5 years of experience in auditing, and at least 5 years in compliance or risk management, or a combination At least 3 years of experience leading audits and acting as auditor-in-charge Preferred

Master’s Degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics) or MBA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CPA, CRCM or relevant certification 6+ years in auditing in consumer/compliance/financial services and risk management 6+ years in banking or financial services 1+ years of experience with data analytics tools in internal audit 1+ years of experience with privacy compliance in financial services At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Work arrangement

This role is hybrid: three days per week in-person at a Capital One office; Fridays are virtual. Monday–Thursday are in-person days for collaboration in team areas. Compensation and benefits

The salary ranges vary by location and are listed below for informational purposes and refer to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles are prorated based on hours. Charlotte, NC: $132,800 - $151,600 Chicago, IL: $132,800 - $151,600 McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 New York, NY: $159,400 - $181,900 Plano, TX: $132,800 - $151,600 Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 Riverwoods, IL: $132,800 - $151,600 This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
