The Technical Lead is responsible for intermediate level setup and operation of small to large-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology. Key Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment. Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise. Complies with all Company security and safety measures. Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use. Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers. Be a leader, mentor, and coach for other Technicians on Encore’s Delivering World Class Service philosophy. Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication. Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment setup is working properly. Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day. Understand and foster the hotel/client relationship. Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate advanced operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues. Anticipate equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner. Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately. Use equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for setup and strike; interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment; utilize floor up-selling techniques; work with clients to finalize invoices; and work within Encore systems and applications as needed. Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred. 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience required. Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate Company vehicles. Hotel/convention center environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand and/or dust; generally moderate noise levels. High-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components; occasional work at heights via lifts and ladders; irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work may occur at multiple hotel locations or venues and travel may be required. Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $26.00 - $27.00. Compensation determined based on qualifications, location, travel, experience, and skills; eligible for overtime, bonuses or incentives where applicable.
