Lead and perform NBIS-compliant bridge inspections, including fieldwork and reporting Execute bridge load ratings and develop comprehensive, detailed reports Design new, rehabilitated, and replacement bridge structures for highway, rail, and pedestrian use Coordinate closely with CAD designers and stakeholders to develop construction-ready plans Participate in cost estimating, proposal writing, and project specifications beyond just design tasks Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering NBIS-qualified Team Leader Structural design experience (bridges) Strong communication skills for collaboration with contractors, clients, and project partners Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and willingness to learn new software Eligibility to work in the U.S. Background & Skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license in MA, RI, or other states Completion of NHI bridge inspection or ancillary structure courses Familiarity with MassDOT, Massport, DCR, and MBTA bridge programs Experience managing multiple phases of a project, from inspection through construction Strong organizational skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
