Overview
Site Lead (CFT B022 VA) at Strategic Technology Institute Inc. Location: NAS Norfolk, VA. The Contractor supports COMMANDER NAVAL AIR FORCES ATLANTIC (CNAL) FLEET LOGISTICS MULTI-MISSION SQUADRON (VRM) O LEVEL MAINTENANCE SUPPORT (VRM-40) at NAS Norfolk, VA. The project defines requirements for aircraft maintenance functions, including Line, Corrosion Control, and Aircraft Organizational Level maintenance, to maintain government aircraft and GFE per maintenance manuals and directives. The Contractor provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure safe aircraft operations and 100 percent on-time departures for scheduled flying missions during the period of service. Responsibilities
Leads a team in the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Provides technical guidance to supervise subordinate mechanics on the airframe being supported. Capable of performing, supervising, and inspecting the duties of Mechanic I, II, and III. Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components, engines, and supports components such as flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical systems; applies technical knowledge to diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation. Applies professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting blueprints or manufacturer manuals. Requires comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting/repair, sheet metal/structural modification and repair, and basic electrical systems. Requirements
Secret Clearance required. Working knowledge of technical publications. Detailed knowledge of aircraft tools and equipment (test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, shears, etc.). Experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers; strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet aircraft delivery schedules. Record-keeping: make entries in aircraft logs and records; provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians during all aircraft modifications and maintenance efforts. Job Details
