The Controller will play akey role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reports. Key Responsibilities: · Maintain accurate financial records for the organization. · Manage all accounts receivable and accounts payable · Manage all month-end close processes. · Implement month-end close timeline and corresponding checklists to ensure timely completion and issuance of financial reports. · Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthlybasis. · Maintain Balance Sheet accounts reconciled, with source documents available to support balances. · Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements, and management reports. · Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. · Execute on internal and external audits as needed. · Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide support asnecessary. · Drive process improvements and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within thefinance function. · Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices and recommendadjustments to policies and procedures as needed. · Assist with our HR team with benefits administration and other HR duties. Software: · Experience of 1+ year in NetSuite highly preferred. · Experience of 2+ year in accounting software required. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required ability to perform Vlookup, pivot tables, etc. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. · Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. GAAP experience required. · Experience performing accounting functions in e-commerce and/or retail industry required. · 2+ years experience as Controller required. · 2+ years experience preparing financial reports required. · 1+ year reviewing financial reports required. Includes providing context in the form of varianceanalysis. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · High level of attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with varying departments. The base salary for this position is $125,000 $150,000, depending on experience. Additional benefitsinclude an annual bonus based on company performance, health, dental, STD & LTD benefits covered 100%for the employee and subsidized for dependents, a matching 401k, a generous PTO package and additionalancillary benefits. Although the role is approved as a remote position, candidates in commutable distance to Santa Barbara, California will be preferred. Seniority level
