Teach two sections of Legal Research & Writing II in Spring 2026 and two sections of Legal Research & Writing I in Fall 2026 (approximately 18 students per section). Be deeply student-centered, provide clear and consistent feedback on writing assignments, and support the foundational development of 1L writing. Support the design and delivery of teaching materials, including researching and designing future writing problems for use in the Program. Collaborate with six full-time teaching colleagues to build the curriculum, learning management platform, and assignments. Supervise four Classroom Dean’s Fellows and work closely with the Legal Rhetoric Program Coordinator, requiring strong supervisory skills. Develop and manage a resource bank of writing samples and supporting materials; lead development and delivery of teaching materials. Develop best practices related to Legal Rhetoric concepts and AI issues; lead workshops on drafting, sample preparation, and using AI in legal writing; research issues related to AI reliance (accuracy, plagiarism, citations). Develop a searchable database for faculty and upper-level students to use and contribute to. Lead and support the design and delivery of new teaching materials and assess their impact. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Juris Doctor or equivalent; 2 - 4 years of relevant experience. Preferred Education and Experience: Juris Doctor; 3 - 5 years of relevant experience. Other Details
