Join our Team as a Release Manager at Orion180! The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing software and technology releases across the enterprise. The Release Manager partners closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases and efficient deployment processes. The Release Manager delivers new applications, updates, and patches on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations. Responsibilities
Release Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain the release calendar for all technology initiatives. Work with project managers, development teams, and operations to align release schedules with business priorities. Coordinate release readiness reviews and deployment planning sessions. Execution & Governance: Oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle, from planning through deployment and post-release validation. Ensure all release-related documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements are met. Manage risks, issues, and dependencies associated with releases. Process Management & Continuous Improvement: Define, implement, and continuously improve release management processes, standards, and tools. Establish metrics and reporting to track release performance, quality, and success rates. Partner with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation teams to streamline release pipelines. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as the central point of communication for all release-related activities. Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Facilitate post-release retrospectives and incorporate lessons learned into future releases. Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in software delivery, with 3+ years in a Release Manager, Release Train Engineer, Program Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead role. Experience working with homegrown or in-house applications/platforms. Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles. Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and servant leadership skills. Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies, and program-level delivery. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps). Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Waterfall). Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab). Knowledge of change management and ITIL best practices. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Background in regulated industries such as finance, insurance, and healthcare, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements. Certification in ITIL, SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), or project management certifications such as PMP and CSM. Apply & Contact
