We are seeking a Workday Techno-Functional Developer who brings both deep technical expertise and broad functional knowledge across the entire Workday platform. This person will be part of development, custom integrations, help optimize system configurations, and act as a strategic partner for HR, Compensation, IT, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer in Workday, who understands data flows, security, configuration logic, and business processes across HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent, Payroll, and Time Tracking. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build, solve, and deliver — not just manage tickets. Workday Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS Write and troubleshoot Java, XSLT, XML, JSON, REST/SOAP APIs Manage SFTP, endpoint configurations, security keys, and file transmissions Handle complex data transformations and real-time or batch integrations with systems like ADP Payroll, Oracle Fusion, Entra ID, Motivosity, Skillsoft, Syndio, ServiceNow, LMS, Convey and more Functional Knowledge & Configuration Awareness

Understand configuration logic for Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation (Incentives, Merit, Bonus, Plans, Guidelines), Recruiting, Talent (Skills Cloud, Succession, Career Hub), Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll (even if outsourced like ADP) Understand and troubleshoot: Business processes, Eligibility rules, Calculated fields, Custom report dependencies Partner with HRIS or functional SMEs to align technical builds with business rules Testing, Documentation & Support

Lead test cycles (Unit, Regression, UAT) Create detailed documentation: data mapping, config-impact charts, testing scripts Support audit/compliance needs through proper logging and traceability Collaboration & Leadership

Represent integrations team in cross-functional projects Liaise with vendors and internal teams (HR, Cybersecurity, IT) Help guide and mentor junior analysts or developers (if needed) Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of Workday integration development experience (4-7 years preferred) Strong skills in Java, Workday Studio, XSLT, APIs, JSON, XML Java, SQL (for troubleshooting/reporting), basic scripting Broad functional knowledge across multiple Workday modules Proven ability to bridge technical and functional teams Experience with Real-time API, SFTP, encryption, secure file handling Strong documentation and communication skills Preferred Skills

Experience with automation tools like UiPath is a plus Prior experience in cross-functional enterprise environments (Healthcare, Nonprofit, Education) Familiarity with Jira, Agile workflows, and vendor RFP/implementation cycles Compensation & Benefits
