to join our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. This is an on-site position at Raytheon. What You Will Do
Implement proper cybersecurity controls Interact with customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness Maintain a Risk Management Framework Authorization to Operate for the system Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems Consult and assist program line management with SSE architectures and issues Define security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components Integrate cybersecurity development activities Develop top-level system requirements, and flowing down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystems Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools Understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Experience in Cybersecurity Engineering Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with NIST RMF Experience with cybersecurity toolsets including vulnerability scanning, HIDS/NIDS, MFA, SIEM and centralized auditing tools Experience generating Cyber Security and/or program protection requirements, designs, and artifacts Security systems engineering across various hardware and software configurations DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent) Experience implementing DISA STIGs and DoD/Intelligence community IA controls Experience IT/network/system security administration; building virtual machines and security configuration for UNIX, Windows, Red Hat, Cisco systems Linux Bash and Python scripting Understanding of DoD/Federal IA Certification and Accreditation processes Familiar with RMF (NIST 800-37) and PPP requirements Experience on U.S. Government contract proposals as an Information Assurance Engineer SME What We Offer
Relocation assistance available The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range is a good faith estimate. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills.
