A leading life insurance and reinsurance organization is seeking a seasoned financial professional to lead its Life Traditional Solutions financial reporting team. This full-time leadership role is part of the Financial Reporting & Valuation division and is responsible for overseeing technical accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial analysis across multiple accounting frameworks. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of financial analysts focused on traditional life insurance solutions. Ensure timely and accurate reporting under various accounting standards, including U.S. Statutory, IFRS, Solvency II, and Bermuda EBS. Oversee third-party administrator (TPA) reporting obligations. Technical Accounting Oversight: Direct the preparation and review of quarterly financial results, including assumed business and retrocession arrangements. Provide clear variance analysis and documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with actuarial, operations, and reporting teams to ensure accurate treaty accounting and financial forecasting. Review outputs from premium and ledger systems to validate financial data integrity. Support ad hoc accounting entries and treaty compliance processes. Process Improvement & Controls: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and internal controls. Lead or contribute to special projects aimed at improving efficiency, automation, and data quality. Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, preferably within insurance or reinsurance Strong understanding of U.S. Statutory, U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Solvency II, and Bermuda EBS accounting standards Proven leadership in financial reporting and technical accounting Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, and advanced Excel Preferred Experience
CPA and/or MBA Experience implementing and maintaining financial controls Strong grasp of financial statement analysis and reporting frameworks Additional Information
Soft Skills/Company Culture: Self-motivated, hard worker, able to communicate effectively with diverse teams. Environment: Fast-paced with high expectations and tight deadlines driven by coordination with global teams.
