Cost Analyst / Estimator

Location: Flex Time On-Site at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD Geographic Region: Baltimore, MD, Aberdeen, MD, Wilmington, DE Description: Galorath Federal is seeking Cost Analyst/Estimators for multiple positions to work with clients in Aberdeen, MD. The company offers signing bonuses for qualifying candidates and is an ESOP company providing stock to employee owners annually to build retirement savings. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, analytical skills, and the ability to lead and contribute to large defense programs and studies. Ideal candidates are self-starters, creative, forward-thinking, proven leaders, and problem solvers. Cost Estimator/Analyst responsibilities include: Following policies, plans, procedures, and directives related to Cost Estimating and Economic Analysis. Ensuring efforts align with DoD or Federal standards regarding acceptance, effort, and coordination. Performing cost estimation and analysis using modeling, parametric analysis, engineering estimates, risk analysis, and other techniques for military systems acquisition. Developing long-range work plans, schedules, and objectives for cost estimating efforts. Keeping updated on DoD or Federal cost analysis concepts and methods. Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data to develop cost analysis products. Proposing solutions to improve cost estimating effectiveness. Applying principles and methods of cost estimation, developing relationships and methods. Using statistical techniques and interacting effectively with clients and colleagues. Managing priorities, tasks, and work requirements. Developing presentation materials for client updates. Performing additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Full-time on-site position with flexible work schedules. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or related field; at least 5 years of DoD cost estimating and acquisition experience. Hands-on experience with ACE-IT software; experience with PRICE, QSM, or SEER is valued. CCEA certification or in process preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong client management skills. Successful management of all phases of acquisition programs; Secret clearance required. Seniority level
